AerospaceNU Lab

Located in the Forsyth Building, the Lab is our primary base of operations on campus. 239 Forsyth (the Back Lab) is our manufacturing hub, with all the capabilities detailed below. 244 Forsyth is our work space, fully stocked with tools, hardware, and other build supplies. We are a project-based club, and our projects use of the Lab to make amazing things!

Laser Cutter

The laser cutter enables rapid prototyping and production from materials like wood and acrylic.

3D Printers

The lab has three Prusa MK3S 3D printers. Capable of printing a wide variety of materials, these handle parts from first prototype through final build.

Tormach Router

The baby Tormach is a desktop router capable of cutting fine geometries in metal and composite materials.

Wazer

The desktop waterjet can cut flat parts from a wide variety of materials, making it a great production tool.

Electronics Suite

We have soldering stations, power supplies, oscilloscopes, a reflow oven, and much more - everything we need to support our electrical teams.

Sims Computer

Optimized to handle the demands of in-depth flow simulations, the sims computer allows us to test out our designs ahead of time.
